| It’s
really very difficult to describe our "back yard".
In short, it's just breathtaking.
We are situated in the southern part
of Nopiming Provincial Park (Cree for "entrance to the wilderness")
on the eastern border of Manitoba.
It is remote and wild, yet it is a fairly short trip to Lac du Bonnet,
Pine Falls and Kenora.
Trails on the Manitoba side are groomed and maintained by the Nopiming
Sno-Mads.
SnoPass trails are wide, very well defined and maintained.
Being situated at the beginning of the Pre-Cambrian Shield, there are
a lot of rock structures and countless lakes providing all the necessities
for the outdoor winter enthusiast. There are miles of trails to take you
to that remote lake where trophy Northern Pike sit waiting to challenge
your ability and your equipment. For the wildlife lover there are numerous
opportunities to catch a glimpse of moose, deer, wolf, cougar and an array
of winter wildlife.
