Fishing

Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, Nopiming offers some excellent and exciting fishing. Situated at Bird Lake in beautiful Nopiming Provincial Park, Manitoba, Canada, the area and the surrounding lakes offer a wide variety of game fish such as walleye, pike, trout, perch and smallmouth bass.

Please note: the law requires all walleye between 45cm [17.7 inches] and 70cm [28 inches] must be released.

For the avid fisherman there are other other lakes in the area to help in your search for that trophy catch. There is an abundance of lakes nearby to offer the angler a variety of species. Tooth Lake offers superb smallmouth bass fishing along with Shoe Lake which also offers walleye.

We also maintain gas and oil facilities, along with boat rentals equipped with newer dependable motors and a private dock with boat launching 300 yards away in a government campground.

As far as equipment is concerned our general store maintains a variety of bait and tackle choices. We carry night crawlers along with an assortment of frozen bait and lures, all of which should easily fill the fisherman's needs.

During the winter months we are open for ice-fishing which is just the thing for catching that trophy northern. With many lakes only minutes away by snowmobile, our winter fishing offers a variety of locations that during the summer months would take hours to reach. Trips can be taken into remote lakes for the more adventurous.
